Who's Chairing the Board?

We asked Selectboard Secretary Sandi Pierson to update us on the Board chairmanship. With Henry Minasian, the former Chair, now off the Board, who is taking on the duties? All three Board members, it turns out.

Sandi:

For the first time in Orange history, and only the second time in New Hampshire history, the town’s Selectboard is composed entirely of selectwomen.  Rather than following the tradition of having a single chair moderate the twice-monthly meetings, your new Selectboard has chosen to have that responsibility rotate among the three Selectboard members.  Linda Giner chaired the organizational meeting on March 15^th, Dorothy Heinrichs chaired the March 26^th meeting and Betty Fulton will chair the April 10^th meeting.   Other responsibilities of the chair will be divided among the board. 

The board is working to gather information on all the various responsibilities of the board and other town positions in one place.  If you have served in a town office before, the board would love to hear from you.
