Town Forms Are Up on the Site

Sandi sent us pdfs of town forms and regulations. Print them out at home and fill them out to save time at the Town House. You can acces them here.

The forms include the abatement application,building permit,  intent to cut, state highway driveway application, training request, veteran tax exemption, and more. PLUS online state vehicle registration and dog licenses and vital forms request.

The same page offers useful documents such as the Town's Class VI Road Policy, Orange Buillding Ordinance, and more.

Online Registration Is Here!

Sophie Seace, our Town Clerk, says that the kinks have been worked out of the system. You can now handle vehicle registration and dog licenses, as well as request vital records, all online. Just go to orangenh.us and click on the registration tab at the top, or on the links on the right-hand site of the website. 

Sophie says, "I want to thank Colin Higbie for his many hours volunteered to our town through email consultation and office hours to get us established, along with his donation of hardware to secure the connection. This has saved Orange several hours of IT support cost."

Public Hearing to Accept Highway Funds

At 6:00pm Tuesday, September 12, 2017, the Select Board will hold a public hearing to accept $18,920.02: SB 38 Local Highway Aid from the State.

The regularly scheduled Select Board meeting will follow.

It will be interesting to know what the 2 cents is for.

Online Registration Is Coming (Honest!)

Our apologies for prematurely announcing online registration. Sophie Seace and Colin Higbie are devoting a huge amount of their time making it work. They've run into some technical snags owing to our little town's computer system, connectivity, and lack of an IT person. But they're confident the service will be up and running soon.

We've taken down the registration link for now but will revive it as soon as this stuff works. 

No Town Clerk Hours Saturday

Sophie reminds us that she won't be in the office on Saturday, August 5. The office will be open as scheduled each Wednesday through the remainder of the month from 5:30pm to 7pm. Office hours also will be held on the third Friday, August 18, from 9am to 11am.
