Happy Winter! (and minutes)

We haven't been in touch lately because of technical difficulties. The webmaster fixed everything by throwing his computer against the wall. Worked like a charm.

Here are the last few Select Board minutes.

And here's a snowy picture of the Heinrichs meadow. Have a beautiful Thanksgiving.

Burnt Hill Road Will Be Closed Friday Afternoon

Scott Sandborn, our Road Agent, says that Burnt Hill Road will be temporarily closed for about 2 to 4 hours beginning around 3pm this Friday, September 23, so that some large tree snags can get removed.

In the meantime, he says to use caution on Burnt Hill, especially when it's windy. Cones mark the area with the snags.

Primary Day Is Tomorrow

Sandi reminds us that primary voting is Tuesday 11am to 7pm at the Town House. Town Moderator Danny Hazelton wants to remind everyone that during voting political signs are not allowed on town property unless a person is with the sign.

Because of voting, the Selectmen will meet tonight (Monday) at 7pm. Charlie Chandler, Democratic candidate for NH Senate Distict 2, will be in attendance.

Danny Hazelton needs one more person to be on the ad hoc Salary Study Committee. It is anticipated that you would only need to meet a couple of times. The 2014 Wage and Salary Survey, published by the Local Government Center, will be available for your reference. The last recommendations from a Salary Study Committee were in 2010. If you would be willing to serve on this year’s committee, please call Danny at 523-4268 (cell: 304-9704) or email him at dmhazelton@hotmail.com.

Also, we're sad to hear of the death of Henry Minasian. who served on the Orange Select Board. Services for Henry were held yesterday. The Rikert Funeral Home put out this obituary:
