Orange Harvest Festival
Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 10:17AM It's Sunday, October 16, at the Canaan Fairgrounds on Cardigan Mountain Road & 118. The fun starts at 9 a.m., with a raffle drawing at 3 p.m. Shop the vendors, eat some great food, and listen to music by Scott Sanborn and Friends--plus suprise musical entertainment.
Other features include face and pumpkin painting, a white elephant table, and plants and other things for sale. Plus two raffles to benefit the Orange Scholarship Fund.
You can buy the raffle tickets in advance ($1 donation for 6 for $5), and you don't have to be present for the drawing in order to win. Prizes include a cord of a wood, split and delivered within a ten-mile radius of Canaan; a framed painting by Larry Howard; and an adirondack chair donated by Bob Ford of Canaan. The Town Clerk has tickets, and so do Pat Mercer and Anita Watson Garland.
