Got Hay?

Jen Congdon sent us this request:

I am looking to purchase 2-3 bales of second cut hay for my one remaining sheep. Does anyone out there know of a good local hay supply?

You can reply by commenting on this post or by emailing Jen directly.

Over 60? Need Free Legal Help?

The Town Select Board asked us to post this. We'll also put up a pdf of the brochure in the Government section.

New Hampshire Legal Assistance offers free legal counsel on civil matters to any New Hampshire residents over 60, regardless of income or assets.

The Senior Law Project assists our state’s most economically and socially needy seniors with civil legal problems including consumer protection/debt collection, health care, public and private housing, family problems, food stamps, public assistance benefits, utility shut-off, and nursing facility and assisted living/residential care facilities problems. The legal services include legal advice, brief services and extended representation by attorneys and trained paralegals. The SLP also engages in outreach to increase awareness of the legal rights of seniors and to ensure that the community is aware of our services by means of presentations, pamphlets, and other written materials.

Some of the types of cases handled by Senior Law Project advocates include:

  • Abusive/Illegal Debt Collection Practices
  • Financial Exploitation
  • Nursing Home Resident Rights
  • Social Security
  • Supplemental Security Income
  • Medicaid/Medicare
  • Elderly Housing issues
  • Mobile Home Resident rights
  • Property Tax Relief

If you are a New Hampshire resident age 60 or older and need help with a civil legal problem, contact NHLA's Senior Law Project by phone at 1-888-353-9944, or by email at seniors@nhla.org. The Project has the capacity to serve elders who are housebound, isolated, or institutionalized.
