New Hampshire Legal Assistance offers free legal counsel on civil matters to any New Hampshire residents over 60, regardless of income or assets.
The Senior Law Project assists our state’s most economically and socially needy seniors with civil legal problems including consumer protection/debt collection, health care, public and private housing, family problems, food stamps, public assistance benefits, utility shut-off, and nursing facility and assisted living/residential care facilities problems. The legal services include legal advice, brief services and extended representation by attorneys and trained paralegals. The SLP also engages in outreach to increase awareness of the legal rights of seniors and to ensure that the community is aware of our services by means of presentations, pamphlets, and other written materials.
