Notes from the Select Board Meeting

Dorothy Heinrichs sent these in. They're her informal notes, and not the official minutes. We'll post theminutes after Sandi works them up and the Board approves them. As usual, you can use the discussion board or comment on this post to get your two cents in.
- One of the Democratic candidates for state rep, Marilyn Lieto, came and spoke briefly about why she is running for office.
- Betty Fulton was away on vacation so the board tabled discussion on the Northeast Waste contract. They did approve the Remacle contract which had been reviewed at previous meetings. The road agent, Scott Sanborn, sent in a written update on road work in general and a project by project update on FEMA work in particular. Also included in the packet was a copy of a letter from FEMA confirming FEMAs approval to redirect some funds originally designated for work on Tuttle Hill Road at Williams Road to the Tuttle Hill/CrossRoads location.
- A reminder that the Orange festival will take place this Sunday, October 14, from 10 to 3.
- Sandi Pierson is confirming that Orange residents may take hazardous waste to the Lebanon landfill on October 20.
- our faithful tax collector, Sharon Proulx, was recently recognized by the Association of NH Tax Collectors for her TWENTY FIVE years of service to the Town of Orange. Thank you, Sharon!!
- The next board meeting will be Tuesday, October 23.
